Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 30, 2026 • Last updated: May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how GLPTree ("we," "us," or "our"), operated at https://glptree.com, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here. For questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. Identity & Contact Information
Site name: GLPTree
Website: https://glptree.com
Publisher: Rolando Valenzuela, independent publisher
Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL, United States
Privacy contact: [email protected]
GLPTree is an independent, ad-supported health-information website operated by a solo publisher in the United States. We publish educational content about GLP-1 receptor agonists, peptides, metabolic medications, and related calculators. We are not a medical practice, clinic, or pharmaceutical company.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect information in two ways: automatically through your browser and device when you visit the site, and directly when you contact us by email.
2.1 Automatically Collected Data
When you visit any page on GLPTree, our servers and third-party analytics tools may automatically record:
- IP address — your device's internet address, used for approximate geographic location (country/region) and security purposes. IP addresses sent to Google Analytics are anonymized before storage.
- Browser and device information — browser type and version, operating system, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), screen resolution, and language settings.
- Pages viewed — which pages you visit, in what order, and for how long (session duration and page dwell time).
- Referrer URL — the web address you came from before reaching GLPTree (e.g., a search engine results page or a link from another site).
- Scroll depth and engagement events — whether you scrolled 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% down a page, and whether you clicked outbound links.
- Date and time of your visit.
2.2 Calculator Inputs
GLPTree offers interactive health calculators (Weight Loss Projector, Calorie Target, Protein Needs, Dose Schedule, Cost Estimator, BMI Calculator, and others). When you enter values into these calculators — such as weight, height, age, or medication dose — those inputs are processed entirely within your browser (client-side JavaScript) and are never transmitted to our servers or stored by GLPTree. We do not have access to, and do not retain, any calculator inputs you enter. The calculations happen locally in your browser and exist only in your current browser session.
2.3 Communications
If you email us at [email protected], we will retain the content of your message and your email address in order to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share this information with third parties. Email is the only direct data collection channel on this site; there are no contact forms, newsletter sign-up forms operated by us, or user account systems.
3. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), with measurement ID G-RTV2SLX3J0. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how visitors interact with our site.
What GA4 Collects
- Pages visited and session sequence
- Approximate geographic location (country, region, city — derived from anonymized IP)
- Device category, browser, and operating system
- Traffic source (organic search, direct, referral, social)
- Engagement metrics: session duration, scroll depth, and outbound link clicks
- A pseudonymous client ID stored in a first-party cookie (
_ga) to distinguish unique visitors
We have enabled IP anonymization; Google truncates the last octet of your IP address before storing any location data. We do not enable Google Signals or User-ID linking.
Data Sharing with Google
Data collected by GA4 is transmitted to and stored on Google servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. Google processes this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and acts as a data processor on our behalf.
How to Opt Out of GA4
You can prevent GA4 from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Alternatively, you can block or delete GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) through your browser settings. You may also use your consent management preferences via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit.
4. Google AdSense & Advertising
GLPTree displays advertising served by Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-4703816879120250), a service provided by Google LLC. AdSense uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites across the internet.
How AdSense Personalizes Ads
Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve personalized advertisements. This means that if you've previously visited sites about weight loss, medications, or related health topics, you may see relevant ads on GLPTree and elsewhere. The presence of any advertisement on GLPTree is not an endorsement of that product or service by GLPTree. Ad content does not influence our editorial decisions.
How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads
- Visit Google Ads Settings to opt out of personalized advertising from Google.
- Visit aboutads.info/choices to opt out via the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA).
- Visit youronlinechoices.com for the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA).
- Use the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit to this site to manage advertising cookie preferences.
Even after opting out of personalized ads, you will still see ads on GLPTree — they will simply be contextual (based on page content) rather than based on your browsing history.
5. Mediavine Grow
GLPTree uses Mediavine Grow (site ID: U2l0ZTo4NDMxM2M1My0wMGY1LTQwZDAtOTIwNS1iZGE5ZGI2Yjc0MmU=), an engagement and audience-building tool provided by Mediavine, Inc. Mediavine Grow may set cookies and collect first-party engagement data — such as interaction data and device information — for the purpose of providing content recommendations and newsletter services.
Mediavine processes this data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. If you interact with Mediavine Grow features (such as subscribing to updates), you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email communication, or manage your preferences through the Mediavine Grow interface.
6. Cloudflare
GLPTree uses Cloudflare, Inc. as its content delivery network (CDN) and security provider. Cloudflare operates between your browser and our servers, providing DDoS protection, bot mitigation, and performance optimization. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies on your device (such as __cf_bm) to perform security and bot-detection functions required for the site to operate reliably. These cookies do not track you for advertising purposes.
Cloudflare processes network traffic data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Cloudflare may store limited log data about requests to our site — including IP addresses — for security and performance purposes.
8. Third-Party Services Summary
The following third-party services operate on GLPTree. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data:
- Google Analytics 4 — policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdSense — policies.google.com/privacy
- Mediavine Grow — mediavine.com/privacy-policy
- Cloudflare — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Google Fonts — Font files are loaded from Google servers. Google may collect limited technical data (IP address, browser) when fonts load. See Google's Privacy Policy.
GLPTree does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy (i.e., through the automated data collection practices of the services listed above, all of which you can opt out of as described in the relevant sections).
9. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)
GDPR (European Economic Area and UK visitors)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data where we have no legitimate basis for continued processing.
- Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to data portability: Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., advertising cookies), you may withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or by adjusting your browser settings.
Because GLPTree collects very limited personal data directly (only email correspondence if you contact us), most GDPR rights are exercised through the opt-out mechanisms of the third-party services listed above. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
CCPA / CPRA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights:
- Right to know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: GLPTree does not sell personal information. We do share limited technical data with advertising and analytics partners (Google, Mediavine) as described above. You may opt out of this sharing for advertising purposes via the cookie consent banner or the opt-out tools described in Sections 3 and 4.
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
To submit a CCPA/CPRA request, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request — California." We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Opt-out mechanism
The cookie consent management banner displayed on your first visit to GLPTree allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). You can revisit your cookie preferences at any time. In addition to the banner, you may use the third-party opt-out tools described in Sections 3, 4, and 5 of this policy.
10. Data Retention
GLPTree does not maintain a database of user records. The data retention periods that apply to our site are determined largely by the third-party services we use:
- Google Analytics 4: Event data is retained for 14 months by default (the minimum configurable retention period in GA4). User-level data is deleted on a rolling basis at your chosen retention setting.
- Google AdSense: Cookie-based advertising data retention is governed by Google's data retention policies.
- Cloudflare: Log data is retained for limited periods per Cloudflare's standard security and performance practices.
- Email correspondence: If you email us, we retain your message and email address for as long as necessary to respond and to maintain records of corrections or commitments made. You may request deletion of email correspondence by contacting us.
11. Children's Privacy
GLPTree is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site covers prescription medications, clinical trial data, and adult metabolic health — topics not relevant to or appropriate for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
12. International Data Transfers
GLPTree is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our third-party service providers (Google, Mediavine, Cloudflare) maintain servers. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your home country.
For users in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data transfer restrictions: our third-party service providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms approved by relevant supervisory authorities. For more information, see the respective privacy policies of Google, Mediavine, and Cloudflare linked in Section 8.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, third-party services, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of GLPTree after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
